William J. (Bill) Chandler, who holds the license to the company, founded Southeast Contractors in 1990 in Jacksonville, Florida. In 1995 he was called to Destin by insurance adjusters for roofing repairs after Hurricane Erin hit the area. In 1996 Bill recognized the future economic and construction growth in Northwest Florida and moved the company to Destin permanently. With his strong business and work ethics, reputation for quality craftsmanship, materials and timely scheduling of projects, Southeast Contractors has become the major competitor in the roofing indusrty for Northwest Florida in the past 20 years.
